A TEAM of British ghost hunters are investigating paranormal activity in Chester.

The team, who are filming the second series of the Amazon Prime show The Haunted Hunts, have been investigating locations on the city's famous Rows as well as interviewing Cestrians about their otherworldly encounters.

The description of the show describes it as: "A team of British ghost hunters head to some of the darkest locations in the UK in an attempt to find proof of the hauntings that are said to exist there. Satanic rituals, murder, violence and suicide have all took place inside these locations and as a result, it is believed that dark entities now plague those who enter."

Chester and District Standard:

The team includes Danny Moss, Rebecca Salisbury-Moss and Emma Dawe.

During their time in Chester, the team tweeted: "#TheHauntedHunts are in town what a beautiful city but we’re not here to admire the views, over the next few weeks we are here to find your ghosts #Chester."

And: "Wow what a crazy interview we shot last night. #Chester is pulling out lots of surprises."

Often said to be Britain's most haunted city, there are countless tales of ghostly apparitions on its distinctive cobbled streets and Rows.

Not surprising as the city has not been short of incident in the past 2000 years, from the Roman invasion through the Middle Ages, Civil War to the Victorian and Georgian periods. Every era, and seemingly most buildings, have their share of reported ghost sightings.
