FIREFIGHTERS were called out after reports of a fascia falling from a bank.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that a call was received just after 2.40pm on Tuesday reporting the incident in Chester city centre.
Fire crew members were seen outside the Santander bank on Foregate Street.
A spokesman for the fire and rescue service said: "Firefighters were called to reports of wooden fascia having fallen off a bank in Foregate Street, Chester.
"Crews put a temporary cordon round the affected area until a more permanent one was put in place by the council.
"The aerial ladder platform was in use so that a firefighter could remove fascia board to make it safe. The council building inspector will then assess the structure."
