DETECTIVES investigating a serious assault at a pub in Frodsham are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Shortly after 1.30am on Sunday, September 1, a 28-year-old man from Frodsham sustained a serious facial injury following an altercation with three men at the Cholmondeley Arms in Church Street.
He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged after receiving treatment.
A 26-year-old man from Frodsham has been questioned about the incident under caution after voluntarily attending a police station.
Other enquiries into the incident are ongoing and as part of their investigation detectives are urging anyone who was in the pub and witnessed the altercation to get in touch.
Detective Constable Carl Humphries said: “A man suffered a serious facial injury as a result of this incident and we are determined to establish precisely what happened that night at the Cholmondeley Arms.
“We have already spoken to some people who were in the pub at the time, but we know that there were others there who may have witnessed the incident.
“If you were there, saw what happened and haven’t already been speakon to by the police please get in touch.
“The same goes for anyone who may have mobile phone footage regarding the altercation.”
