FLINTSHIRE residents gathered for an anti-Brexit protest rally.
The newly formed 'Flintshire for Europe' staged the protest on the Daniel Owen Square on Sunday (September 8).
The demonstration saw 70 pro-remain supporters gather to show their support for a second referendum on Brexit, and dissatisfaction with Boris Johnson's prorogation of parliament.
Sylvia Jones, co-founder of the group, said that Flintshire for Europe is strictly cross-party, and welcomes people who are of no affiliation to any party.
She said: "It came about after some of us attended a demonstration in Colwyn Bay, and we got talking that we don't have a bona fide group in Flintshire that supports Britain remaining in the European Union (EU).
"Despite the fact Flintshire as a majority voted to leave the EU, that was three years ago and so much has changed since then - I know a few people who voted for Brexit but now wish they hadn't as they simply didn't have all the facts."
And having only organised the demonstration a few days prior to it, Sylvia says she was delighted with the turn out.
She added: "We set up the event just a few days before on social media, so we expected there to be about six of us - but to have 70 turn out at such short notice was brilliant.
"We're planning to do a lot more in the coming weeks, we've got ourselves a logo and social media pages - we want as many people in Flintshire to get involved as possible.
"And we're not just fearing for Britain's future outside the EU - we're very concerned about the rise in hate crimes in the last three years following the referendum."
And Sylvia, who is retired, said she wants to show - despite the large numbers of elderly people who voted for Brexit - that there are retired people who wish to remain in the EU.
She said: "We want the young people in Britain to have the best possible future, and we believe that is a future with Britain a part of the EU."
