CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue Service were called out twice over the weekend for incidents in the Chester area.
Firstly, on Friday (September 6), firefighters were called to a collision in Gorse Stacks where a car had overturned.
One fire engine attended from the Chester base to the scene at around 9.30pm. Here, one female casualty was being treated by paramedics while crews stemmed a petrol leak using foam.
As a precaution they had firefighters standing by with a hose reel and foam line. Crews removed the petrol tank to stop the leaking and isolated the battery.
The firefighters then righted the car which had been on its roof. Police also attended the incident where the driver was arrested following a positive breath test
On Saturday, two fire engines from Ellesmere Port were called to a Sainsbury's supermarket near Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, following reports of smoke coming from an industrial oven.
The store, on Kinsey Road, was evacuated as a precaution.
Crews checked the temperature with a thermal imaging camera and then stripped back the oven to check continued to check the temperature to make sure there was no risk of fire.
