FIREFIGHTERS and police officers were called out following reports of youths starting a fire in a Chester village.
Cheshire Police confirmed officers were sent to Waverton Village Hall on Sunday afternoon following reports of four youths aged approximately 12 to 13 years old setting a fire at the bowling green gate behind the building.
A police spokesman said: "Fire brigade were called and time was wasted. Beer cans found at scene.
"This will not be accepted and if caught they face criminal charges."
