AN ELLESMERE Port slimming champion showed off her weightloss success at Manchester Pride.
Slimming World consultants, team developers as well as members from various districts were part of the colourful festival for the first time at the weekend.
Christine Robinson-Lloyd, a consultant in Ellesmere Port and team developer for the North Wales, Chester and Wirral District, was out and proud alongside 49 other colleagues and members, whose losses added up to an amazing 160 Stone.

Christine is originally from Manchester, and has watched the Pride Parade for more 10 years, never believed she would one day be a part of the exciting celebration.

After losing 10 stone herself, gaining confidence, Chris said there is no more hiding her body or her sexuality.
Chris was determined too stand out at the parade, dressed in a Strawberry costume doned in glitter, representing Slimming World but also representing all those people who are still living in fear of prejudice and alienation.
She said: "I’ve always struggled with my weight, and used too cover my insecurities with my loud and bubbly personality. I enjoyed socialising with my friends, however I would avoid having my photo taken. It wasn’t until I saw some pictures of myself. I was embarrassed and ashamed at how unhealthy I had become, and felt that I wasn't able to be happy in life or love."
Christine lost 10 stone
After Joining a Slimming World Group in 2016, Chris has never looked back, not only has she lost the weight, that held her back, she has made Slimming World her full-time career and is living the best life ever.
Chris added: "Being a part of the Manchester parade, wasn't just about me and showing off my 10 Stone weightloss. It was about sending out a message to anyone out there, that you can change, that you can live your best life and that if your weight is holding you back, as it did me, that stepping through the doors of any Slimming World Group, including any of my groups in Ellesmere Port, can change that.
"I want all my members regardless of age, sexuality, race, ability etc to feel included and accepted. I want too reach out to those feeling Alienated, you just need to take that step through our doors. You can do it!
