DRUGS were found in empty cans of lager at an address in Flintshire.

Police said a drugs warrant was executed by North Flintshire officers at an address in Flint on Tuesday (August 27) and recovered an estimated several thousands pounds worth of Class A drugs.

As well as recovering over a £1000 in cash, police a 28-year-old man from Merseyside remains in custody in connection with the findings.

The drugs were found stored in empty cans of Carlsberg.

A spokesman for the force said: "Flint Residents, Carlsberg don't do hidden drug containers, but if they did...

"We've executed a drugs warrant at an address in Flint today and recovered what looks to be several thousand pounds of Class A Drugs and over a thousand pounds cash."

North Flintshire Police neighbourhood Sargeant Steve Lloyd said: "This shows that North Wales Police listen and act on intelligence that we receive.

"Gangs will often use and target those who are at their most vulnerable and exploit them in order to make money. We will continue to strive to make North Wales the safest place in the UK. A 28 year old male from the Merseyside area remains in custody."
