COMMUTERS have been warned to expect a day of rail disruption following a landslide.
Virgin Trains announced on Wednesday morning that a 'landslip' has occurred between Chester and Crewe, resulting in all lines being blocked.
On the company;s website, a spokesman said: "Train services travelling between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
"Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
"Replacement road transport services are conveying passengers between Chester and Crewe in both directions until further notice.
"Customers should also note there is no train service between Chester and Manchester via Warrington Bank Quay due to planned engineering work, and replacement bus service is operating on that route also."
