FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a chip pan blaze in Chester.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call just before 1.20pm on Friday reporting a fire in a kitchen at a sixth floor flat on St Oswalds.
Four crews attended - one from Chester, two from Ellesmere Port and one from Powey Lane - along with an aerial platform from Chester.
On arrival the crews discovered that had been a chip pan fire which had been extinguished.
Firefighters then used a large fan to clear the smoke from the property.
Crews were in attendance at the scene for around one hour.
