A NEW pizzeria in Chester has announced details of its launch party… and they include FREE PIZZA!

Dough Dough has set up shop in the former Jack Burrito restaurant on Northgate Street and will first open its doors to customers on Friday evening (July 19) from 5pm.

Along with free pizza, the bar will be open selling beers and wines from some of the UK's most exciting breweries and winemakers.

The venue’s arcade machine will also be set to free play for the evening.

Business owners Beth Donkin and Emma Stockton say the event is first come first served and will “last until we run out of pizza”.

But the generous duo will also be offering take-away slices of pizza for people who are unable to get a table.

Beth said: “Dough Dough has been a huge passion project for us and we've been overwhelmed by the support and kind words of people on social media.

“As a small thank you, we thought it would be nice to offer some of our signature pizzas for free to give everyone an opportunity to see exactly what we're all about and what we bring to Chester.”

The new restaurant will offer pizza-lovers two speciality doughs – Neapolitan style, the thinnest base with a puffed up crust, and sour dough, for those who prefer something a little more robust.

All the pizzas will be cooked in a custom built wood-fired oven and the doughs are hand-made and stretched.

Chester and District Standard:

There is also an extensive vegan menu to compliment the traditional pizzas.

Dough Dough will open fully from July 20 at noon until 11pm with last orders for food finishing at 10pm and will be open seven days a week.
