A COUPLE from North Wales are the lucky winners of a free wedding at The Oakfield at Chester Zoo.
Lovebirds Matt Jones and Laura Read, from Towyn in Conwy, won the prize after entering a competition at a wedding showcase hosted at the zoo in June.
The loved-up pair were picked out from over 100 entries into the zoo’s first ever prize draw and have been awarded with a wedding package which includes exclusive use of The Oakfield’s Bridal Suite, a ceremony, canapes and Prosecco, wedding photos and a three course meal with wine.
Delighted groom-to-be Matt said: “We’re over the moon! Laura and I are absolutely in love with the place and we are certain the team there are going to make the day as special as possible for us. We are really, really excited!”
Daisy Poole, the zoo’s sales and events manager, added: “Matt and Laura were already huge fans of the zoo and it’s going to be really special to play host to them on their big day. The Oakfield really is a magical place to celebrate a wedding and we can’t wait to see them tie the knot here in our stunning venue.
“We’ll be hosting another showcase on Sunday September 29 and anyone interested in coming along to see all that we have to offer should keep an eye on our website for more info. Couples will be able to register to attend from mid-August.”
