A TOY Story movie plot became reality in Chester yesterday as poor Woody was forgotten by his owner in the city centre.

Luckily, staff at the nearby Chester Grosvenor Hotel spotted the toy (who may or may not come to life when their backs are turned) and are now trying to reunite him with his family.

And they posted a host of photos of the cowboy doll in various parts of the five-star establishment as he waits for his emotional reunion.

Chester and District Standard:

Staff wrote on Facebook on Monday (July 8): “Found in Eastgate Street, Chester. Can we re-unite Woody with his owner? (His real owner not the one from the film!)

“While exploring the city of Chester, Woody has been separated from his owner. They mustn't worry though he has been making himself at home at The Chester Grosvenor, enjoying the spa and relaxing in the Drawing Room!

Chester and District Standard:

“We will keep him safe until he can be reunited with his owner, so please share to get him home.

“If Woody belongs to you please message our Facebook page with the name that is written in pen on his shirt.”

The actions of the hotel staff has gone down a storm on social media.

Chester and District Standard:

One woman said: “What a great sense of humour someone has. I hope you’re appreciated. X”

To which the staff responded: “It's a tough job but someone has to be in charge of Toy Relations...”
