PUPILS at a Chester school are working on an oral history project to celebrate 50 years of education.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Upton-by-Chester High School, pupils have putting together a project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Students led by history teacher Ciaran Doherty have interviewed and recorded the memories of former staff and students.

The 50th Anniversary website showcases this work and will be officially presented to a wider audience on Friday, July 12. During the evening there will also be a photographic exhibition of images recalling the journey of the school over the past 50 years,
