THOUSANDS of residents helped ensure a family-friendly festival was its most successful yet.

The Little Sutton Community Festival, held on Sunday, June 30 at Little Sutton Community Centre, saw 2,000 people enjoy fine weather and a host of activities.

Organised by Port Fest Events CIC, there was plenty to see and do for visitors, including the Dog Zone, an art festival, a children's area filled with fun and games and scarecrows which have featured as part of the area's successful scarecrow festival.

Organiser Edward Malone said: "I would like to thank each and everyone of you for supporting Little Sutton Community Festival.

"In particular, everyone at Wirral Chihuahua for supporting us, our volunteers, Bring life to Little Sutton, PALS (Positive Action for Little Sutton), The Mayor, Justin Madders MP, all the amazing stall holders, the DJ, and of course the community.

"I look forward to seeing you all at Port Fest 2019 on August 25 in Whitby Park."
