A SCHOOLBOY charged with attempted murder after a knife attack in Chester will appear in court today.
The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was remanded in custody following a hearing in Crewe on Saturday.
But lawyers will seek to persuade magistrates to grant him bail at a hearing this afternoon (Monday, June 24).
It comes after a 14-year-old boy from Queen's Park High School was left with serious injuries in a knife-related incident in Handbridge on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police confirmed this morning that the boy remains in a serious but stable condition at Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool.
