A MAN aged 81 has died following a four-car crash on the A55 near the Posthouse Roundabout.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened on the North Wales-bound carriageway between the junction with the A41 and A483 at around 11.35pm on Sunday (June 9).
The vehicles - a Vauxhall Corsa, Toyota Avensis and a Ford Focus Zetec - collided and came to a rest in the central reservation. A Subaru Legacy then collided with debris, coming to a stop further down the carriageway.
Cheshire Police have confirmed that the driver of the Corsa, an 81-year-old man from Wrexham was treated at the scene but sadly died.
The drivers of the Toyota and Ford Focus are believed to have minor injuries.
A spokesman said: "Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision but has not yet come forward, along with anyone with dashcam footage that may help with the investigation."
