THE Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire has presented awards to Cheshire air cadets this week.
Mr David Briggs MBE KStJ presented the Annual Lord Lieutenants Awards at Chester Town Hall in front of friends and families of the recipients.

Members of Merseyside Wing, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, were in attendance to see twenty-three Reserve and Cadet Forces members being honoured for their hard work and commitment to their respective organisations, as well as to their local communities across Cheshire.

Among the awards being presented during the evening, nine of them were awarded to Cadets and Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers of Merseyside Wing, Royal Air Force Air Cadets.
They included Sergeant Lynette McDermott RAFAC, Civilian Instructor Andrew Probert, and Cadet Sergeant Theodore Philip-Holloway from 1074 (Ellesmere Port) Squadron.
Also, Ex-Cadet Warrant Officer Cameron Farley, Cadet Flight Sergeant Sam Rowlands and Cadet Flight Sergeant Kieran Shingler from 610 (City of Chester) Squadron who were presented with the Lord Lieutenants Certificate of Meritorious Service along with Lance Corporal Lewis Pybis of C Squadron Queen’s Own Yeomanry who is a Service Instructor with 2184 (Upton) Squadron. Also, to be awarded from 610 (City of Chester) Squadron was Flying Officer Lauren Ellis RAFAC & Civilian Instructor Jodie Sawyer who were unable to attend the evenings ceremony.
