A SPECIAL community funday will be held in Ellesmere Port to create special memories for a mum of two little girls as she enters her last week of chemotherapy.

Single mum Kayleighanne Thomas, 29, of Ellesmere Port, is undergoing treatment for cervical cancer at Clatterbridge Hospital in Wirral but she and her family have been warned that her illness is terminal.

Now, as she prepares to undergo her last session of chemotherapy, her family have organised a day to help create special memories for her young daughters Maddison and Esme, aged eight and four.

The day is being organised by Kayleighanne's mum, Paula Thomas, 49, with help from friends and family.

Paula said: "It's a week Sunday for the funday for Kayleighanne we've got lots things going on. We would love a big crowd.

"Kayleigh has got chemo on Thursday and then the funday is on the Sunday. We just hope she's well enjoy to go to the day."

Kayleighanne's final chemotherapy sessions is scheduled for June 27.

If follows on from chemotherapy and radiotherapy she endured last year - but unfortunately the cancer has returned.

Paula added: "She was diagnosed with cervical cancer year ago. She had chemo and radio last year but at Christmas we found out it was incurable she got two years to live. She is still having chemo every three weeks and she lost her hair on Sunday.

"She is a single mother and her kids are devastated that their mummy is poorly."

The statement on the page says: "I’m here to get help so a very close friend can make some memories with the children she has for the past year been fighting cervical cancer. Just before Christmas was told that there was nothing more they could do and was given about two years to live leaving behind two beautiful girls who only have there mum.

"I’m looking to raise some money so she can make memories on days out and maybe a little family holiday which she has never done."
