A SLIMMER who lost over three stone in under 12 months is now using her success to help others as a consultant for Slimming World.

Claire Noble joined her local Slimming World group in Blacon less than a year ago and dropped from 15 stone 4lbs to 12 stone 2lb.

Since then, Claire has trained as a consultant at Slimming World’s national training academy in Derbyshire, preparing to inspire other new members to the UK’s largest group-based weight-loss organisation.

Ahead of taking over her new group on Wednesday, May 29, Claire explained her reasons for signing up last year.

Claire said: "Like so many others, one in four of us, I have faced challenges with my mental health. It began following the birth of my daughter and has continued on and off ever since.

"As a consequence, I developed a rather unhealthy relationship with food, and over the years I gained over five and a half stone.’’

It is not only the loss of weight Claire has achieved, but the increase in confidence through her hard work.

Claire said: "If someone had told me 12 months ago that I would have the courage to enter a room full of strangers and share with them week in, week out, I would have laughed you out the room; it took me nearly an hour to get out of the car before going into my first group!’’

Now acting as a self-employed micro-entrepreneur – along with the 4,000 Slimming World consultants across the UK currently, Claire has the support of Eleanor Brooks, who runs Slimming World’s Chester group and manages Claire as a team developer.

Eleanor said: "Slimming World consultants are chosen for their positive outlook and because they genuinely care about the health and happiness of others.

"With Claire’s experience of being a successful Slimming World member and her kind personality, I just know that she’ll be an amazing support to members – cheering them all the way to their target weight.’’

  • Claire’s Slimming World group will be held at St Thomas of Canterbury Church, Parkgate Road every Wednesday at 5.30pm from May 29. For more information, either pop along or call her on 07936 364663.
