AN Ellesmere Port scout group has taken part in environmental projects at Rivacre Valley Country Park.
1st Sutton (Wirral) Scouts Group, based at Heath Lane, Little Sutton has been involved in a variety of tasks to help towards them achieving their World Challenge Badge.
Projects included creating a hedgerow corridor by planting young trees and also planting native woodland wildflower bulbs to complement the existing nature reserve.
The group worked with Greenspace officers from Cheshire West and Chester Council.
The council’s director of place operations, Maria Byrne, said: “The scouts did a fantastic job. Both these conservation tasks will help to sustain the important wildlife that thrives in the valley.
"This in turn increases bio-diversity in this unique and beautiful piece of greenspace on the edge of Ellesmere Port.
“Thank you and well done to Robyn, Hannah, Matthew, Benjamin and Lois.”
