Cheshire Farm Ice Cream, based in Tattenhall, has created two exclusive flavours for Chester Zoo to mark the opening of the new Madagascar habitat and big cat visitor experience.
The award-winning company has launched a ‘lemur inspired’ black, Cheshire Plain flavour ice cream to celebrate the recent opening of the 6,000 square meter Madagascar habitat for rare lemurs at Chester Zoo.
Ring-tailed lemurs at Chester Zoo
Madagascar is the world’s fourth largest island, home to a vast array of weird and wonderful wildlife that cannot be found anywhere else on the planet. The new zone at Chester Zoo gives nature lovers the chance to walk among rare species of lemur and see a mysterious cat like carnivore, the fossa.
A Sumatran tiger at the zoo
An exclusive ‘Tiger Stripes’ ice cream, which consists of a chocolate base, caramel ripple and dark chocolate shards, has also been specially created for Chester Zoo to celebrate its Big Cats exhibition, a visitor experience for families featuring the world’s largest felines made from toy construction bricks.
The limited-edition flavours will be available from kiosks throughout the zoo, as well as the food court and café.
