POLICE officers investigating a serious assault in Chester city centre have charged a man in relation to the incident.
Ramon Babetunde Akinremi Baruwa, 19, was arrested on Thursday, April 18, following an incident at 8.20pm on Northgate Street where two men were assaulted.
Both men received superficial cuts to the face and one of them required treatment at the Countess of Chester Hospital as a result of the incident.
Baruwa has subsequently been charged with two counts of section 18 wounding and possession of a knife.
The teenager, of no fixed abode, appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court on Saturday, April 20, where he was remanded in custody.
He is next due to appear at Chester Crown Court on Friday, May 17.
