PUPILS of an Ellesmere Port primary school took to the streets as part of their Holy Week celebrations.
Children from Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School processed through the town on Wednesday, April 17.
The procession was based on the huge Semana Santa celebrations in Spain and the children walked from Whitby Hall to Our Lady Star of the Sea Church on Enfield Street.
Children prepared floats depicting the story of Jesus's last week and they made banners, flags and lanterns that they carried through town.
The Year 5/6 drum band put on performances in Whitby Park and in the Civic Square.
Shoppers in the Port Arcades were wowed by the floats that were carried at shoulder height through town.
