A DRIVER was flown to hospital after being freed from their vehicle by firefighters.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call shortly after 2pm on Wednesday reporting a collision in Guy Lane, Waverton.
On arrival at the scene fire crew discovered that the incident involved one car which had collided with a tree.
The team used electronic cutting equipment to release the driver, who was trapped in the car. They were then taken to Aintree Hospital via air ambulance
A passenger from the car had got out of the vehicle prior to the arrival of firefighters. They were also taken to hospital.
The fire crew, from Chester, was at the scene for about an hour.
