AN INTRUDER in an Ellesmere Port home was blasted with a Taser stungun when he allegedly pulled a knife on police officers.
The man was also said to be brandishing a baseball bat when he was apprehended at a property on Rivacre Road at around 8.30pm on Sunday (April 14).
A spokesman for Cheshire Police confirmed a 27-year-old man from Little Sutton had been arrested in connection with the incident and was now helping officers with their enquiries.
He was arrested for burglary, harassment and breaching a restraining order.
No one has yet been charged.
Ellesmere Port police tweeted: "Response Team officers deployed to Rivacre area for intruders inside a residence. Offender located inside who raised a knife; Officer raised a Taser! Result: one offender Tasered and arrested for aggravated burglary. Justice smarts!"
