CREWS were called to the scene of a ‘small fire’ The Entertainer over the weekend.
At around 10pm on April 13, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a report of a smoke alarm sounding at the toy store on Foregate Street.
Two fire engines attended, one from Chester and one from Powey Lane, and discovered a fire exit door smouldering on arrival.
Firefighters removed the door and extinguished the small fire with water before using a large fan to clear smoke from the store.
A spokesman confirmed that the officers were in attendance for more than an hour.
