A VILLAGE has become the latest community to purchase and install life-saving equipment.
Rossett Community Council has funded the purchase of a defibrillator, which was installed last week with the support of the Welsh Ambulance Service.
The vital equipment, which can dramatically improve the chances of surviving a cardiac arrest, was installed at the toilet block in Rossett playground, with those needing to use it having to first call 999, who will then provide the caller with a code which will unlock the box and enable it to be used.
In any situation where a defibrillator (or AED) is required CPR is a key factor, so the Welsh Ambulance Service will be providing additional free training during June.
Rossett Community Council will publicise more information once the dates are confirmed.
