POLICE have arrested and charged a wanted 45-year-old man after finding him in a loft in Tranmere.

At around 9.30am on Wednesday, April 10, officers visited a property in Tranmere where they discovered wanted man Ian Cooper in the loft of the home.

Detectives arrested and then charged the 45-year-old from Bidston with several offences including; burglary, theft of a car, and fraud relating to an incident in Higher Bebington earlier this month during which bank cards, wallet, keys and three cars were stolen.

He was also charged with possession and intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine in relation to drugs seized from a property in Oxton last year.

Cooper appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court today (Thursday, April 11).
