DETECTIVES investigating an assault in Chester are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
At 4pm on Tuesday, April 9, an 17-year-old local man was assaulted outside a convenience store on Kingsway involving around three or four young men.
The victim went to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries to his back and neck.
Detective Constable Nicola Edgell, of Chester CID, said: “This was a nasty assault which took place in broad daylight when the area was busy with people passing by.
“I want to take this opportunity to urge anyone who may have seen an altercation take place involving a group of men to come forward. If you have any information – no matter how small please get in touch as it could help us with our investigation.”
