AN APPEAL has been launched after a man was reported to have exposed himself on a train.

British Transport Police (BTP) officers investigating the alleged incident, reported to have taken place on board a train in Merseyside, have released CCTV images.

According to the force, the alleged incident happened between 7.45pm and 8.45pm on Friday, December 22 between Wrexham and Bidston stations.

A police spokesman said: "A man is reported to have exposed himself before touching himself inappropriately.

"He left the train at Bidston and boarded a service to Liverpool.

"Officers believe the man in the images may have information that could help their investigation."
