Coming soon to Chester Little Theatre – Little Gem introduces us to three women – a grandmother, a mother and a granddaughter.
Each tells their story of how their lives intertwine, how their memories match up or fail to mirror each other, how some things are said aloud but some are only felt and held in secret for only us to hear.
Elaine Murphy has used her experience of working in a women’s health organisation in Dublin to explore the lives of these three ordinary women. During the play, we are drawn in to laugh, to cry, to understand and to empathise.
There is strong language but it is genuine, coming from the roots of these women’s experiences and needing no apologies or explanation.
Seen here are the three generations - Catherine Millar as Lorraine, Maggie Innes as Kay and Emma Reilly as Amber.
Performances of this full length play are on Thursday 11, Friday 12 and Saturday 13 April at 7.30 pm in the Salisbury Studio (seats unnumbered) Chester Little Theatre, Gloucester Street, Chester CH1 3HR. Tickets: £7 and £6 concessions.
