TWO people have been taken to hospital after a car collided with a telephone pole in Tarporley on Thursday.
The incident happened on the A49/A51 roundabout shortly before 3.30pm when the Ford Fiesta, carrying three occupants, collided with the pole, causing the vehicle to end up on its roof, trapping a man inside.
Firefighters from Chester and Winsford attended the scene and once the man was safely removed from the car, he was handed over to the care of paramedics and had to be airlifted to hospital.
The two other occupants, a male and a female, were assessed at the scene and one of them was taken to hospital.
The A51 was closed to all traffic while the emergency services worked at the scene.
