TWO Tarporley businesswomen will be hitting the heights next month to raise money for a good cause.

Jayne Clarke, of Ellesmere Port, and Robyn Hardman, of Lichfield are both taking part in a 10,000ft tandem skydive on April 6 at Tilstock airfield, Whitchurch.

The duo, who work for Recycling UK Ltd, are looking to raise as much money as they can for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Backford.

For Jayne, this will be the second time she has taken to the skies in the name of charity, having taken part in a 10,000ft skydive in 2012 in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.

Writing on their Justgiving page, Jayne and Robyn explained why they had chosen the hospice as their chosen charity for the fundraiser.

They wrote: "The Hospice Of The Good Shepherd has always been a charity that is close to our hearts, with Jayne's great nan receiving care from them over 20 years ago, and more recently a close family friend.

"The hospice provides crucial specialist and end-of-life services. The aim is to help patients live with their diagnosis making every day count and improve their quality of life.

"The money you help us raise will help the Hospice of The Good Shepherd care for people from the community of Chester, West Cheshire and Deeside suffering from a life-limiting illness.

"They don't just care for people in their final days, the hospice also provides pain relief and symptom control to in-patients and they offer amazing bereavement support services to both adults and children.

"Every little helps so even as little as £5 can help to pay for a memory book for a child to use in order to remember a special person."
