BACKFORD-BASED charity Hospice of the Good Shepherd is celebrating 30 years of delivering palliative care to local people with an anniversary lunch supported by journalist, television and radio presenter Nicky Campbell.
The two-course lunch will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Chester on May 16, starting with a sparkling drinks reception at noon.
Following the lunch, Nicky Campbell will talk about the secrets of filming ITV’s Long Lost Family and how families are reunited, as well as his own personal stories and experiences of finding his birth family.
Caroline Siddall, director of income generation at the hospice, said: “We are delighted that Nicky will be joining us for our 30th anniversary lunch and to help us to celebrate the hospice’s anniversary in style.
“Since we opened our doors to the first patient in 1989, the hospice has helped thousands of local people with a life-limiting illness.”
