A CHESTER care company has been providing a variety of training and development opportunities for carers in the community.
Home Instead Senior Care Chester was recently invited to two Carers Trust Cheshire and Warrington meetings where 30 local carers received moving and handling training.
Louise Brown, assistant training manager at Home Instead, conducted the sessions in Chester and Ellesmere Port and gave local carers a vital insight into the importance of correctly recognising and minimising the risks of moving clients.

Louise commented on the training, she said: “From the feedback we have already received, we know that everyone really enjoyed the training and found it very useful when putting everything they learned on the day into practice.”
Chris Broadbent, co-owner of Home Instead Chester, added: “It is important for all carers to have the opportunity to develop their skills. We would like to say a big thank you to the Carers Trust for inviting us along to their meetings. The training was a great success, so much so that we have already been invited back to do more sessions to meet the high demand for training in the local area.”
