ELLESMERE PORT members of a family are holding a fundraiser to help raise precious memories for a six-year-old with an incurable illness.

Francis Eaton has the rare and extremely aggressive brain condition adrenoleukodystrophy, or ALD, and sadly has been given just two years left to live.

So the family can enjoy the most of the time available, a fundraiser is to be held at the Sir Robert pub on Overpool Road, Ellesmere Port, on Saturday, March 23, at 1pm.

The event is a fancy dress event to dress as a superhero. Admission to the family fun day is £3 and a prize will be given to the best dressed.

The day will include hook a duck, face painting, a cake stall, a sweet stall, a bouncy castle and bingo.

In the raffle, prizes include semi-permanent eyelashes with Gemma Knight, shellac nails with Hanna Jones, a cut and blow dry, a six-week membership at the Waterways Leisure Centre in the Holiday Inn and many more.

In the evening, the pub will also host adults bingo and a DJ to round off the fundraiser.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to help Francis, who lives in Blackpool with his family.

A Justgiving page has also been set up for people who wish to donate directly to the fundraiser at www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/r-bower
