THE popular Cheshire Food Festival is returning to Walton Hall and Gardens.

Over the weekend of April 13 and 14, the estate will be transformed into a foodie paradise with more than 50 artisan producers.

You can also enjoy gourmet street food and pick a favourite tipple from numerous outdoor bars and entry is free.

A spokesman for Walton Hall and Gardens said: “We’ll have events in the newly refurbished ‘riding school’ as well as the main lawns and bandstand with a kids entertainer to keep the nippers chipper.

“We’ll also have chef demos throughout the weekend to help you channel that inner Marco Pierre White or Monica Galetti.”

Daniel Maycock, event manager, added: "We are really pleased to be coming back to Walton for the Cheshire Food Festival, we have added more entertainment and some chef demos this year, so even more to do and it's all free.

"There will be stalls selling all types of food, from Thai, to Traditional hog roast, something for all tastes. So bring the family and friends, stock up on some tasty food and relax in the lovely surroundings of Walton Hall."

The event runs from 10am to 5pm and is free but normal car parking charges will apply.
