A CHESTER-BASED charity is teaming up with a women's active wear brand in support of International Women's Day.

Fallen Angels Dance Theatre, which supports people on a path to recovery from addiction and mental health issues, has announced a partnership with Sweaty Betty as part of the campaign Support Women Support the World.

The limited edition collection will consist of a sweatshirt, T-shirt and vest emblazoned with the slogan 'Support Women, Support The World', with £10 from the sale of each top being donated to Fallen Angels as well as fellow charity Ditch the Label.

Sweaty Betty's exclusive collection has been handpicked in collaboration with two brand ambassadors, Sophie Apollonia and Mia Kang.

Sweaty Betty founder and creative director Tamara Hill-Norton said: "We created this collection to celebrate strong and powerful women worldwide, so we are so excited to empower women through these charity partnerships.

"One of the main rules we live by is to find strength in sisterhood and be kind to each other.

"These charities completely resonate with our brand mission so I am very excited to work together."

The launch comes just as Fallen Angels Dance embarks on a number of activities celebrating International Women’s Day.

The group will be performing at the Chester Women’s Aid event in the city centre on March 9 and will feature in the line-up at the Storyhouse Women Festival in April, where members will launch their first women’s focused project.

Fallen Angels provides a structured pathway to enhance recovery from addiction through participation, workshops, projects and training. It aims to raise awareness, break down stigma and advocate recovery.

Claire Morris of Fallen Angels said: “We are so excited to be in partnership with Sweaty Betty: sharing the same values and ethos means that we are stronger together in our aim to make positive, active, healthy changes in people’s lives.

"Our Angels are thrilled to be Sweaty Betty’s first charity and are looking forward to the empowerment and new opportunities that this partnership will create!”
