A BROUGHTON woman who works as a match-day presenter for Premier League champions Manchester City is in the final for Mrs Galaxy UK.

Natalie Paweleck recently won the title of Mrs Chester Galaxy and this means she will be competing in the grand final in March with women from all over the country.

She said: "I am so excited to have made it to the final, it is a great achievement and I can not wait to represent Chester and hopefully bring the crown home with me!"

Natalie, who also works for Cancer Research UK, lives in Broughton with her husband and young son.

There was controversy last year after she was crowned Mrs Scotland World in a different pageant in September, only to be stripped of the crown after contest organisers received an anonymous tip-off she had posed topless for 'lads mags' in her 20s.

In a Facebook post clarifying the situation, Natalie said there were no rules which said she had to disclose that information when applying for that competition.

She added: "I am proud of what I achieved. I was on the cover of the world’s highest selling men’s magazine and won the UK’s most popular modelling competition! The choices I made in my early 20s have made me the woman I am today and I like and respect that woman."

She added: "Since my involvement in the pageant I have met some amazing women. Women of all ages, sizes, ethnicities and backgrounds.

"I have seen these women strut themselves on stage and show the world who they are and that they are perfect just the way they are. This is what I hoped to gain from pageants."

The winner of Mrs Galaxy UK will travel to the USA with contestants from all over the world, to compete in the Mrs Galaxy International final, which is being held in the summer. The UK has enjoyed some amazing success at the Galaxy International Pageant, with them winning an international crown nine times and had placements in every division for the past four years.

The UK final is being held in March at Park Hall Hotel, Lancashire.
