AN Ellesmere Port firm which won an award in Dubai for its innovative piece of furniture is returning to the country to officially launch the product.

Spaceforme won the Best Innovative Product at Gess Dubai for its new concept of the floor chair.

It was a new idea to aid teachers/pupils to be comfortable during carpet time in education.

The company is back in Dubai this month to fully launch the chair, which has already been ordered and well received in many countries including Australia, USA, Iceland and Spain.

It’s a multipurpose chair that provides a better comfortable sitting position. Raising the seat off the ground prevents fingers getting caught when moving in the chair.

Children with learning conditions such as autism need to feel that they have have contact with an item and the chair has been well received in all sectors of education.

The firm says feedback from teachers in the educational industry relayed it has enabled them to improve concentration and security for the children, creating better posture for the user during activities involved on the floor.

One teacher said: "Staff shared the opinion that they hadn’t seen anything like it before, and it was a great new idea.”
