THE Sport of Kings is to return to the Roodee for the first of two 2019 tournaments in June.

The White Oak UK Polo Series will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 21-22, and offers spectators the opportunity to witness the thrill of live polo, pitch-side.

Chester Polo Club is delighted White Oak UK has taken title sponsorship of the Polo Series in 2019, having supported polo at Chester through recently acquired LDF since 2014.

Natalie Powell, head of brand communications at White Oak UK, said: “This will be our fifth consecutive year as lead sponsors of the Polo International at Chester.

"We’ve always found this to be a fantastic event that continues to evolve in scale year on year, it’s become a real spectacle in our annual events calendar, for both employees and our corporate guests and so we’re excited to see the White Oak UK Polo Series return in 2019!”

The exhibition series will attract highly skilled teams and players from around the globe to Chester, where there will be the chance to witness outstanding play and sportsmanship in serious games of skill across the two days.

New for 2019, Chester Polo Club has teamed up with North West regional publication ParentFolk for a special collaboration that will unveil a new format for the Saturday of the tournament, a family-friendly curated session of sounds, sport, sustenance and simple fun.

ParentFolk will host with a range of traders, street food vendors and engaging activities for little ones between chukkas. This Saturday event promises to bring families together at the start of summer for an afternoon of memories worth making.

Founder of ParentFolk Nicola Spindler said: “The Polo event this June is the perfect opportunity to present a new event format ‘ParentFolk & Family’ in collaboration with Chester Polo Club to the masses.

"ParentFolk & Family is a new curated cool for those who like their family time with a twist of cool. We are so excited to partner up and bring our tried and tested family social to an already action-packed day of polo. We will soon be announcing our trading partners and the activities that will be on offer for little ones.”
