IT WAS all white on the night as the Chester area was covered in a blanket of snow on Tuesday (January 29).
Although the predicted snowfall was not as prolonged as forecast, with rain and sleet hitting the city for much on Tuesday, when temperatures fell below zero overnight there was a distinct flurry of the white stuff.
Come the morning and residents awoke to see freshly fallen snow, with a couple of schools – Dorin Park and The Arches Primary – shutting their doors for the day.
We asked you to send in your pictures of the snow and you didn't disappoint, with a selection of your photos published here in our online gallery.
Further snow is forecast for Thursday night, with temperatures to remain cold for the rest of the week.
