A CAT left with a distinctive scar after being injured in a road traffic accident is in need of a special home.

Ten-year-old Aston came into the care of RSPCA Stapeley Grange, in Nantwich, with a large scar on his back as a result of being hit by a car.

He is a very shy and timid cat, which may be a result of his injury.

Because of this, he will need a special home with an experienced cat owner who will understand his needs.

He came into Stapeley Grange with his friend Gizmo, and they will need to be rehomed together as Aston is more confident with Gizmo around.

Aston and Gizmo will need to be rehomed together

Joyce Mellor, deputy manager of Stapeley Grange Cattery, said: “Aston is a very special cat who will need a special home. He is a very shy cat who is slightly nervous and easily startled – but he loves fuss once he starts to trust you. We can’t imagine him being rehomed without Gizmo, because Gizmo is his buddy and helps his confidence.

“Aston is a lucky cat as the scar on his back is quite large so the injury must have been quite bad.

“He is such a special cat who will need an understanding owner who has experience of owning cats, particularly shy ones.

“Aston and Gizmo have been with us since September and they haven’t had much interest, sowe’d like to get them into a new home soon.

“Both are full of character and will make lovely pets.”
