FOOTBALL legend Michael Owen let TV crews see inside his luxurious Flintshire home.

Keith Lemon (Leigh Francis) snooped around the former England player’s Northop mansion as part of ITV’s Through the Keyhole.

In the programme Lemon took a look around the grounds, kitchen and what he described as the property’s “leisure centre complete with tropical swimming areas decked out with fake waterfall and trees.”

He also had a look at Michael Owen’s collection of framed football shirts, signed footballs and snooker table before checking out his bar and cinema screen.

Following the tour, Keith Lemon said he’d had a ‘brilliant time’ and said to Michael Owen: “That’s probably one of the best houses we’ve ever done.

“Do you get a lot of money, playing football then?”

Michael Owen replied: “I did have, before I bought that!”

Following the show, the ex-footballer tweeted: “Thanks for all your kind messages.

“Was great fun recording Through The Keyhole. Glad you liked my house.”

Twitter user @carpetncfc replied: “Liked it!

“Absolutely stunning - shows what hard work gets you!” while @gcmallers said: “Lovely house, lots of potential but does need a bit of a makeover in parts. Some of the rooms a bit tired and a little ‘1980s’.”
