A BOY aged 12 has been arrested on suspicion of robbery after a man had his bag stolen on a street in Ellesmere Port.
Police officers were called to Ashfield Road at around 6.50pm on Wednesday, January 9.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "A 12-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and is currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
"Anyone who may have any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 290604."
Police in the town have been carrying out extra patrols in the area to reassure residents.
