A CHESTER school's high-flying basketball team is reaching new heights thanks to the support of a local financial firm.

Handbridge-based independent financial advice company HL Financial took the opportunity to support Queen’s Park High School by sponsoring a new dynamic kit for the school’s up and coming basketball team.

After approaching neighbouring local uniform supplier Uniformity, HL Financial worked with the PE department to design a personalised and professional sports kit for the team to wear during their matches.

Rob Hopkins, director of HL Financial, said: “As a small business we are happy to be able to help QPHS with some new kits for the basketball team. We know that they had a great season last year and wish them every success for the season ahead.”

The new kit has certainly been a massive hit with the formidable team and injected a new energy and confidence in their play.

So far they’ve been victorious in every game.

Mr Taylor, PPA curriculum team leader, said: “We are thrilled with the support we’ve received from HL Financial, it has given the students a real sense of pride and ambition.

"The sixth form managers Reuben Wardle and Kaylan Morris have been integral in inspiring our already talented squad who have managed to secure a place in the Chester Schools Basketball final.”

HL Financial has been operating since 2003, and moved to its office in Handbridge in 2014.

Since relocating, staff at HL Financial have enjoyed being an active part of the community, getting involved in annual events and regularly seeking new ways to work closer with other members of the community.
