DRUGS and money were discovered after two Saltney Ferry homes were searched by police.

Teams of North Wales Police officers descended on two addresses in North Street on Thursday morning as part of the execution of two drugs warrants.

In addition to the two homes, the teams also thoroughly searched two vehicles parked in the road.

They were also joined by members of the police dog team, who assisted with the operation.

Following the warrants Sgt Neil Hughes, of North Wales Police’s South Flintshire team, confirmed to the Leader that nobody had been arrested - but a quantity of class B drugs was seized from one property, while cash amounting to about £1,000 was recovered from the other.

Enquiries surrounding the matter are ongoing, he added.
