In November, a selfie posted on Twitter by four female doctors who work at the Countess of Chester Hospital went viral.

The photo has been described as an inspiration to young girls looking to enter the medical profession and has reportedly appeared in more than 170,000 news feeds.

Locum registrar Kat Parmar decided to post the picture after colleagues suggested it would be a positive image for budding medics.
