AN Ellesmere Port teenager is on track to emulate his sporting hero Sebastian Vettel through his dream of making it as a Formula One World Champion.
Ben Price, 13, a Year 8 pupil at Ellesmere Port Catholic High School, is rising through the ranks in go-karting and has already amassed an impressive collection of trophies.
Racing for a team run by Sam Pollitt - SPR (Sam Pollitt Racing), Ben has been racing in the IAME Cadet category this year and has won the Cheshire Kart Racing Club championship.
He has also earned second place in the Manchester and Buxton Kart Club Championship, while he managed third in the Trent Valley Kart Club Championship in his first year racing at Trent Valley.
Next year Ben will move up and start racing in Mini X30 karts, with the aim of carrying on karting and following in the footsteps of his favourite Formula One driver Sebastian Vettel.
